Tatiana Nikolskaya, Ph. D., Founder, Chief Scientific Officer
and President: Dr. Nikolskaya has 15 years of experience in experimental biology and bioinformatics research at the University of Chicago and at Moscow State University, VNII Genetika, in Russia. Her areas of expertise include genomics, molecular biology, biochemistry, gene therapy, and various aspects of bioinformatics. Dr. Nikolskaya founded GeneGo in 2000 and continues to oversee technology and science development at the company. Dr Nikolskaya holds a Master's degree in Biology from Moscow State University and a Doctoral degree in Molecular Genetics from VNII Genetika Graduate School in Moscow, Russia.
Yuri Nikolsky, Ph.D., Chief Executive Officer: Dr. Nikolsky has over ten years of experience in the life sciences industry, in business and research. Prior to joining GeneGo, he was CEO of ChemDiv (San Diego, CA), a medicinal chemistry outsourcing company. Earlier, he co-founded and served as VP of Business Development at Integrated Genomics, Inc. (Chicago, IL), a comparative genomics and bioinformatics company. Dr. Nikolsky has also held positions as a Senior Scientist for Thermogen, Inc. (Chicago, IL) and as Research Associate (Instructor) at the University of Chicago. Dr. Nikolsky holds an MBA degree in Finance from the University of Chicago, a Master's degree in Biology from Moscow State University, and a Doctoral degree in Molecular Genetics from VNII Genetika Graduate School in Moscow, Russia.
Andrej Bugrim, Ph.D., Chief Operations Officer: Dr. Bugrim is an expert in chemistry and bioinformatics with extensive experience in the computational analysis of complex chemical and biological systems. Dr. Bugrim received his Ph.D. from Brandeis University where he worked with Dr. Zhabotinsky, co-discoverer of the famous "chemical clock" (oscillatory reaction). He completed his postdoctoral training at the University of California, Davis, studying cell signaling. Prior to joining GeneGo, Dr. Bugrim worked at Washington University School of Medicine (St. Louis, MO), where he developed a Web-based system for the deposit, review, and analysis of biochemical information.
Julie Bryant, Vice President, Business Development & Sales: Ms. Bryant has over 20 years of experience in life sciences business development. As the VP of Sales and Marketing at OmnivIz, a Battelle company, she was responsible for generating multi-million dollar revenues, building global sales, recruiting and managing applications scientists, and managing customer support services. In her previous positions at Genometrix and Accelrys, Ms. Bryant developed new market opportunities for microarray services based on archiving blood samples, medical records and scientific software sales into the biotech, pharmaceutical and materials market sectors. Ms. Bryant was in charge of developing the Asian/Pacific market for Biosym (now Accelrys). She delivered record-breaking sales at Molecular Simulations and was recognized for producing top revenues throughout her tenure. Prior to joining Biosym, Julie was the International Sales Manager for Nature, the weekly international scientific journal, where she led an international sales team. Julie is also on the Board of Directors for FreedomVOICE Systems, a San Diego-based telecomm software services company. In addition, she has seeded several start-ups in the US and Europe through her investment & consulting company Bryant Ventures, LLC.
