• Degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, chemistry or related field
• At least 5 years sales experience

• Used to working with CRM and daily productivity tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word

Cell Line Annotator

GeneGo is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented scientist with a biology background to participate in a cell line annotation project for our client. Primary job responsibilities will include manual annotation of cell line properties in a database using controlled vocabularies. Close communication with scientists and IT professionals from a variety of departments may be required. Experience in cell culture or cell-based assays is highly desirable. Familiarity with controlled vocabularies and biological databases like MeSH and Entrez Gene is a plus.

Required skills:

• M.S. or Ph.D. in molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry or related field
• Familiarity with the use of cell lines in biological assays
• Basic knowledge and understanding of systems biology
• 1-3 years of relevant job experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• General computer proficiency and ability to quickly learn new software tools

The candidate must be authorized to work in the United States. The candidate must be available to start work in May 2010.

Salary will depend on applicant’s skills and experience. The position will be based Cambridge, MA. Some international travel will be required.

This person will be responsible for the design of maps depicting signaling and metabolic pathways, in addition to drug action and disease reconstruction maps. The position requires a strong understanding of cell biology, signaling, protein interactions, and a wide variety of biological processes. An ability to quickly read and comprehend the scientific literature and translate it into a clear, easy-to-read visual representation is essential. This person should be able to work with an international team in a collaborative environment.

Required skills:

• Ph.D. in molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry or related field
• Strong understanding of signaling and metabolic pathways, cell biology, protein interactions
• Basic knowledge and understanding of systems biology
• General computer proficiency and ability to quickly learn new software tools
• An ability to quickly read and comprehend scientific literature
• An ability to translate scientific information into a clear, easy-to-read visual representation
